About this clinic

About Miracle Leaf® Palmetto Bay

If you live down in the south end of Miami-Dade, you know Palmetto Bay, the leafy village that sits between Pinecrest just to the north and Cutler Bay just to the south. You'll find our office inside Venture X Palmetto Bay, a coworking space at 9555 SW 175th Terrace. We're here for one thing: your physician certification. We don't sell or keep any cannabis on site.

In person on Thursdays, by phone on weekdays

We see patients in person on Thursdays, and our phones are answered Monday through Friday. Call ahead and book your Thursday visit before you come in. When you do, one of our physicians sits down with you, looks over your history, and decides whether your condition is recognized under Florida law. If it is, we record the certification that lets you register with the state. We see brand-new patients and renewals both.

What to bring with you

Bring a Florida ID or other proof of your Florida address, plus any medical records that document your condition. If you can, fill out the intake form in our online portal before you come in, and it'll get you out the door faster.

A clinic, not a treatment center

Florida keeps the medical certification and the retail purchase as two separate licensed steps, and that's by design under Fla. Stat. 381.986. We handle the certification. Once the state approves your registration, you buy your product afterward at a state-licensed Medical Marijuana Treatment Center, which is a separate business from ours.

State physician registry verification

The Florida Department of Health Office of Medical Marijuana Use maintains a public registry of qualified physicians. Before your visit, look up your certifying physician through the OMMU qualified physician search. Access date: 2026-06-01.

Review note

The Miracle Leaf® Editorial Team last reviewed this page on 2026-10-11. This page describes Florida's certification process and the broad rules of Statute 381.986 as general information, not medical advice. Suitability is determined by a licensed physician at the evaluation.

Plan your visit

Preparing for Your Appointment

What to bring

  • Government-issued photo ID showing your state residency (driver’s license, passport, or state ID).
  • Medical records documenting your qualifying condition. Recent diagnosis notes, treatment records, imaging reports, or prescriptions all help the physician confirm eligibility.
  • List of current medications including supplements and over-the-counter treatments.

Before you arrive

  • Plan to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to complete intake paperwork.
  • Wear comfortable clothing. The visit involves a routine medical conversation, not a physical procedure.
  • Bring payment for the evaluation fee. The clinic accepts most major payment methods. State program fees are paid separately to the state.

During the visit

A licensed physician reviews your records, discusses your symptoms, and determines whether you meet a qualifying condition. The physician evaluation itself takes about 15 minutes. If you qualify, the physician completes the certification step required by your state program.

After the visit

Miracle Leaf® specializes in guiding patients through each step of the process during and after the appointment. Miracle Leaf® has over 8 years of experience working with the Florida Medical Marijuana Use Registry (MMUR).

Approved patients receive instructions for state registration. You purchase products separately from a state-licensed treatment center. Miracle Leaf® clinics do not dispense or sell cannabis products.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Is the Palmetto Bay office a dispensary?
No. The Palmetto Bay office is a physician certification clinic. A qualified doctor evaluates whether you meet a qualifying condition under Florida law and, if appropriate, records a certification in the state registry. Cannabis is sold only at a separate licensed treatment center.
Where is the Palmetto Bay clinic?
The office is inside Venture X Palmetto Bay, a coworking space at 9555 SW 175th Terrace in southern Miami-Dade County between Pinecrest and Cutler Bay. In-person visits are on Thursdays and the phones are answered on weekdays, so call ahead to book a time.
What should I bring to my first Palmetto Bay appointment?
Bring a valid Florida-issued ID or proof of Florida residency and any medical records that document a qualifying condition. Completing your intake form in the patient portal before you arrive helps shorten the visit.
What conditions qualify under the Florida program?
Florida Statute 381.986 lists qualifying conditions including cancer, epilepsy, glaucoma, HIV and AIDS, PTSD, ALS, Crohn's disease, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and terminal conditions, plus a comparable class clause and chronic nonmalignant pain caused by a qualifying condition. A physician determines eligibility during the evaluation.
Does Florida accept an out-of-state medical card?
No. Florida does not recognize medical cannabis cards issued by other states. Seasonal and part-year residents must complete a Florida certification and register with the state under the same rules as permanent residents.
