About this clinic

About Miracle Leaf® Miami

Our Miracle Leaf® office is a state-licensed medical marijuana certification clinic at 2607 N Miami Ave, set right inside the Wynwood arts district north of downtown Miami. You know the neighborhood: the galleries, the murals, the walkable corridors. With all that going on, people sometimes assume any cannabis-related address around here is a shop. We're the opposite of that. We're a physician's clinic that handles certification for the Florida Medical Marijuana Use Registry.

Not a dispensary, and worth saying plainly

Because Wynwood draws so much foot traffic and curiosity, we like to be clear up front. We don't sell, stock, or dispense any cannabis at this office. One of our physicians evaluates you and, when it's warranted, records a certification with the state. The purchase of any product happens at a separate, state-licensed Medical Marijuana Treatment Center, never here with us. Mistaking us for a storefront is honestly the most common thing our staff sets straight.

What we do here

Our role is the medical certification step. One of our physicians reviews your history, confirms whether you meet a condition recognized under Florida law, and enters the certification that lets you register with the state. We see new patients coming in for a first certification as well as returning patients who need recertification, and our staff is happy to walk you through the registry steps that follow your visit.

What to bring to your N Miami Ave visit

Bring proof of Florida residency and any medical records that document a qualifying condition. Florida requires residency verification before it approves a registry application, so if you live in the Miami area only for a season, bring documentation of your current Florida address. Given the gallery-district traffic along N Miami Ave, give yourself a little time to park, with street and lot options common throughout Wynwood.

How Miracle Leaf® fits the Florida process

Under Florida Statute 381.986, certification by a qualified physician is the prerequisite for registering with the state and buying from a licensed treatment center. We provide that physician evaluation and certification. The treatment center where you eventually buy products is a distinct, separately licensed business, and Florida law keeps the two steps apart on purpose.

State physician registry verification

The Florida Department of Health Office of Medical Marijuana Use maintains a public registry of qualified physicians. Before your visit, look up your certifying physician through the OMMU qualified physician search. Access date: 2026-06-01.

Patients new to the Florida program can review the Florida medical marijuana card guide for step-by-step certification details. The Florida MMJ statewide overview covers qualifying conditions, telehealth posture, and clinic-locator information statewide. Plan your visit

Preparing for Your Appointment

What to bring

  • Government-issued photo ID showing your state residency (driver’s license, passport, or state ID).
  • Medical records documenting your qualifying condition. Recent diagnosis notes, treatment records, imaging reports, or prescriptions all help the physician confirm eligibility.
  • List of current medications including supplements and over-the-counter treatments.

Before you arrive

  • Plan to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to complete intake paperwork.
  • Wear comfortable clothing. The visit involves a routine medical conversation, not a physical procedure.
  • Bring payment for the evaluation fee. The clinic accepts most major payment methods. State program fees are paid separately to the state.

During the visit

A licensed physician reviews your records, discusses your symptoms, and determines whether you meet a qualifying condition. The physician evaluation itself takes about 15 minutes. If you qualify, the physician completes the certification step required by your state program.

After the visit

Miracle Leaf® specializes in guiding patients through each step of the process during and after the appointment. Miracle Leaf® has over 8 years of experience working with the Florida Medical Marijuana Use Registry (MMUR).

Approved patients receive instructions for state registration. You purchase products separately from a state-licensed treatment center. Miracle Leaf® clinics do not dispense or sell cannabis products.

  • I’ve been with Miracle Leaf for the past two years, and I can honestly say they’ve been absolutely amazing. Dr. Velez is wonderful, knowledgeable, patient, and truly cares about his patients’ well-being. But I really have to take a moment to highlight Jeremiah, who (I believe) works the front desk. Every single time I’ve called, he answers with such a positive attitude and genuine kindness. He’s incredibly helpful, professional, and understanding, always making sure everything is taken care of quickly and smoothly. His friendliness and reliability make every interaction a great experience. He’s the kind of person who truly makes a difference in customer service. Special thanks to Jeremiah for helping me renew my license with the State and obtain updated medical records to support an RFE application by Dr. Velez to increase the allowable amount of smoking flower. It’s so appreciated!!! Miracle Leaf truly stands out because of people like Jeremiah. I can’t recommend this dispensary enough!

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Can I buy cannabis at the Wynwood office on N Miami Ave?
No, and this is a common point of confusion in the arts district. The N Miami Ave office is a physician certification clinic, not a retail shop. Doctors here certify eligible patients for the Florida program; the sale of any product takes place separately at a state-licensed treatment center after the registry approves you.
How do I reach the Wynwood clinic?
The office is at 2607 N Miami Ave, in the heart of the Wynwood arts district north of downtown Miami and just west of Edgewater. The corridor is served by the Wynwood trolley and is a short distance from the I-195 and I-95 interchanges, with street and lot parking common throughout the gallery district.
What documents does the Florida registry require?
You will need proof of Florida residency, such as a Florida driver license or state ID, plus records that support a qualifying condition. The state verifies residency before approving any application, so part-year residents should carry documentation of a current Florida address.
Which conditions make a patient eligible in Florida?
Eligibility is governed by Florida Statute 381.986, which enumerates conditions such as cancer, epilepsy, glaucoma, HIV and AIDS, PTSD, ALS, Crohn's disease, Parkinson's disease, and multiple sclerosis, along with a same-class provision and chronic nonmalignant pain tied to a qualifying condition. The evaluating physician makes the determination.
I have a card from another state. Is it valid here?
Florida does not honor medical cannabis cards from other states. Visitors and seasonal residents must obtain a Florida certification and register with the Florida program directly to participate.
What happens between my evaluation and my first purchase?
Once a qualified physician records your certification, you submit an application to the Florida Medical Marijuana Use Registry and pay the state fee. After the state issues your approval, your registry identification allows purchases at any licensed Florida treatment center.
