About this clinic

About Miracle Leaf® Deerfield Beach

We're up in the far northeast corner of Broward County at 602 S Federal Hwy, right where US-1 runs up to the Palm Beach County line. The Hillsboro Boulevard interchange off I-95 is just a short drive, so we're an easy stop whether you live in Deerfield Beach, out toward Hillsboro, or down on the south edge of Boca Raton and would rather stay on the Broward side. Miracle Leaf® here is a doctor's office for your certification, not a place that sells anything.

Right by the county line, six days a week

We're open six days a week from late morning into the evening, which suits folks up here who tend to pick a clinic by whichever county line they live closest to. One of our physicians goes over your medical history, decides whether your condition is one Florida recognizes, and records the certification that opens the door to state registration. First visit or a renewal, we'll get you on the books.

What to bring

Have a Florida-issued ID or other proof of residency ready, along with records that document your condition. The state checks residency before it approves you, so if you're here part of the year, bring proof of your current Florida address too. You can do the portal intake from home, and there's surface parking right on site.

A clinic, not a treatment center

Florida Statute 381.986 keeps the physician's certification as the step that comes first, before you can register and buy from a licensed Medical Marijuana Treatment Center, which is a separate business. We do the evaluation and the certification. The purchase happens afterward, somewhere else, once the state approves you.

State physician registry verification

The Florida Department of Health Office of Medical Marijuana Use maintains a public registry of qualified physicians. Before your visit, look up your certifying physician through the OMMU qualified physician search. Access date: 2026-06-01.

Preparing for Your Appointment

What to bring

  • Government-issued photo ID showing your state residency (driver’s license, passport, or state ID).
  • Medical records documenting your qualifying condition. Recent diagnosis notes, treatment records, imaging reports, or prescriptions all help the physician confirm eligibility.
  • List of current medications including supplements and over-the-counter treatments.

Before you arrive

  • Plan to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to complete intake paperwork.
  • Wear comfortable clothing. The visit involves a routine medical conversation, not a physical procedure.
  • Bring payment for the evaluation fee. The clinic accepts most major payment methods. State program fees are paid separately to the state.

During the visit

A licensed physician reviews your records, discusses your symptoms, and determines whether you meet a qualifying condition. A typical visit takes 30 to 45 minutes. If you qualify, the physician completes the certification step required by your state program.

After the visit

Approved patients receive instructions for state registration. You purchase products separately from a state-licensed treatment center. Miracle Leaf® clinics do not dispense or sell cannabis products.

  • I wanted to say for not knowing much about this industry I was so happy I reached out to Miracle Leaf. I called to get info and a great young man named Wes answered and took his time to explain how it works and set up appointment for me. Next I was really surprised how professional and organized the location was. Wes helped me with everything and answered all my questions. The forms were clear and easy to complete. Then I was even more blown away when the Dr. Met with me. He Listened to all my concerns and answered them all. The Dr. evaluated my individual situation and prescribed the best program for me. I wish more Drs. were as caring about their patients as this Dr. Was. Thank you Miracle Leaf for All you do.

  • Scheduled for an appointment today at 3PM. I showed up at 2:35 to get paperwork done. I was immediately made uncomfortable when I was asked a series of questions. I was made to believe the Dr. Would not approve me "50/50". I'm not willing to risk $250 being denied for something I am within my rights to obtain. A detailed MRI report with diagnosis of the injuries would not be enough "for this doctor" and advised me to come on a saturday. As a 37 year old man, I was completely astonished by this. What a joke. Well when it's all said and done, I tool my completed paperwork with me and leaving this negative review. I'm giving you two stars only because it smelled really good in there. The person at the front who I did not gather their name or position should have kept quiet and allowed me to see the Dr. I'm not going to explain my full out medical diagnosis to someone who didn't even introduce themself.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Can I buy cannabis at the Deerfield Beach office?
No. The office at 602 S Federal Hwy is a physician certification clinic. A doctor here certifies eligible patients for the Florida program, and the sale of any product takes place separately at a state-licensed treatment center after the registry approves you.
Where is the Deerfield Beach clinic?
The clinic is at 602 S Federal Hwy in Deerfield Beach, on the US-1 corridor in far northeast Broward County near the Palm Beach County line and a short drive from the Hillsboro Boulevard interchange off I-95. Surface parking is available.
What documents does the Florida registry require?
You will need proof of Florida residency, such as a Florida driver license or state ID, plus records that support a qualifying condition. Part-year residents should carry documentation of a current Florida address, since the state verifies residency before approving any application.
Which conditions make a patient eligible in Florida?
Eligibility is governed by Florida Statute 381.986, which lists conditions such as cancer, epilepsy, glaucoma, HIV and AIDS, PTSD, ALS, Crohn's disease, Parkinson's disease, and multiple sclerosis, along with a same-class provision and chronic nonmalignant pain tied to a qualifying condition. The evaluating physician makes the determination.
I have a card from another state. Is it valid here?
Florida does not honor medical cannabis cards from other states. Visitors and seasonal residents must obtain a Florida certification and register with the Florida program directly to participate.
