Read your status

Which status are you seeing?

Florida gives each section of your application its own icon, so an application can legitimately show more than one at a time. Pick the one you want explained.

The Medical Marijuana Use Registry is the state database that decides whether a Florida dispensary can sell to you. It is run by the Office of Medical Marijuana Use, not by any clinic, and it is the record a Medical Marijuana Treatment Center checks at the counter before every purchase. This page explains how to reach your own entry and how to read what it says.

How Do I Log Into the Florida Medical Marijuana Use Registry?

The Registry lives at MMURegistry.FLHealth.gov. It is a Florida Department of Health system, so the only place to sign in is that state address.

Your username is the email address on file with the Office of Medical Marijuana Use. That address comes from your certifying physician, who creates your Registry profile when the certification is entered. Patients who cannot sign in are most often typing a different email than the one the clinic used, rather than a wrong password.

If You Cannot Sign In

Two things go wrong far more often than a forgotten password.

The first is the email address. The Registry account is keyed to whatever address the certifying clinic entered, which for many patients is an old one, or one a family member supplied at the visit. If sign-in fails, confirm which address the clinic used before assuming the account does not exist.

The second is having no account yet. A patient profile is created when a physician enters the certification, so there is nothing to log into until a qualified physician has certified you and submitted it.

The Office of Medical Marijuana Use publishes its own password reset instructions alongside the status guide linked in the sources below. Account recovery is handled by the state, not by a clinic, so nobody outside the Office of Medical Marijuana Use can reset a Registry password for you.

What Your Registry Application Status Means

Florida does not give an application one overall status. Each section carries its own icon, which is why an application can look part finished. There are four:

StatusWhat it means
Missing InformationThe item has not been submitted yet. Supply it so the application can undergo review.
Rejected InformationThe item was submitted and rejected. The reason sits in the comment under the icon.
Ready for ReviewThe item is submitted and pending state review. Nothing further is required of you.
ApprovedThe Office of Medical Marijuana Use has approved that item.

Two of these are commonly misread. Ready for Review is not a problem and needs no action, it simply means the file is with the state. Rejected Information does not void the whole application, and the comment beneath the icon names the specific item to correct.

Your Approval Email Works as a Temporary Card

Once the application is fully approved, the Office of Medical Marijuana Use sends an approval email. That email, shown together with a photo ID, functions as a temporary Registry identification card at a licensed Medical Marijuana Treatment Center until the physical card arrives by mail.

Patients regularly wait for the plastic card without knowing this, and lose days of access they already had.

What to Do If Your Card Has Expired or Is About to Expire

An expired card means the Registry no longer authorizes a purchase, and no dispensary can override that. Getting access back needs a fresh physician certification entered into the Registry alongside the renewed state application. The full sequence, including the annual state fee and the separate 210-day physician cycle, is covered on our Florida medical marijuana card renewal page.

If another clinic certified you originally, note that you count as a transfer patient, which affects what your visit costs. See what a Florida certification costs.

Can Miracle Leaf® Check My Registry Status?

Yes. Call your nearest clinic and the team will help you read what the Registry is showing and tell you what the next step is. There is no charge for it.

If Miracle Leaf® issued your certification, staff can look the entry up directly, because the certifying clinic has Registry access. If a different clinic certified you, the team can still walk you through your own portal and explain what each status means.

Call (833) LEGAL-MJ or find your closest clinic on the locations directory.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

How do I log into the Florida medical marijuana registry?
Go to MMURegistry.FLHealth.gov and sign in with the email address the Office of Medical Marijuana Use has on file for you. Open the "Manage Your Information" menu, choose "Patient Card" (or "Caregiver Card" if you are a caregiver), then click "View" on your most recent application. Your account email is the one your certifying physician entered into the Registry, so if you cannot sign in, that address is the first thing to check.
What do the Florida registry status icons mean?
The Office of Medical Marijuana Use uses four status icons, and each section of your application carries its own. Missing Information means an item has not been submitted yet. Rejected Information means an item was submitted and rejected, with the reason shown in the comment under the icon. Ready for Review means the item is submitted and waiting on the state, and nothing further is required from you. Approved means the state has accepted that item.
My Florida application says Rejected. What do I do?
Read the comment underneath the rejection icon. The Office of Medical Marijuana Use records the specific reason there, and it is usually a document problem such as a photo that does not meet the requirements or a proof of residency the state could not accept. Supply the corrected item through the Registry. A rejection on one section does not cancel the rest of your application.
Can I buy from a dispensary before my physical card arrives?
Yes, once your application is fully approved. The Office of Medical Marijuana Use sends an approval email, and that email together with a photo ID works as a temporary Registry identification card at a licensed Medical Marijuana Treatment Center until your physical card arrives in the mail. You do not have to wait for the card itself.
What happens in the registry if my Florida card expires?
Your ability to purchase from a Florida Medical Marijuana Treatment Center stops when the card lapses, because the MMTC checks your Registry status at the counter. Restoring access means a new physician certification entered into the Registry and a renewed state application. Florida keeps two separate clocks, an annual state card and a physician certification that has to be refreshed at least every 210 days, so it is possible for one to lapse while the other is current.
Does Miracle Leaf® charge to check my registry status?
No. Call your nearest clinic and the team will help you read what the Registry is showing and what the next step is. If Miracle Leaf® issued your certification, staff can look the entry up directly. If another clinic certified you, the team can still walk you through reading your own portal.
